Bootleg Minifigure Roundup - Vol. 2

Back with another one of my semi-regular roundups of all the various bootleg minifigs I've purchased over the last couple of months..

And starting off with a pair of figures from the mighty kopf, both from the Mandalorian... We have 2 different versions of the titular Bounty hunter from the fantastic streaming series, both of which came with an identical 'child' (aka baby Yoda)

The first Mando comes with a darker colour scheme, he has printed arms and legs as well as a torso with front and back print.

His rifle is attached to his back via a neck connector  and black clip. Kopf was the first out the gate with Mandolorian bootlegs and their version of baby Yoda features what appears to a regular Yoda head shrunk down!

The second version of the Merc comes with a version of his rifle as seen as the show, this guy has a tan and brown outfit and a ragged cape and is more in line with his appearance in the earlier episodes.

Both of these versions are up to the standard I've come to expect from kopf, and although I got these because I wanted the baby Yoda, both are excellent looking minifigs in their own right.

Next up is the CyberDyne Systems model 101 Terminator. An absolute gem of a minifigure from kopf again.

Based on his appearance from T2, the Terminator comes with his own black Motorcycle and a double sided head featuring the battle damaged look on one side.

The other face print features the classic black sunglasses look. The Terminator also comes with an SMG that resembles an Uzi, and even has a detachable silencer!

But wait, there's more! This one also comes with an additional head, featuring the iconic endoskeleton head, with front and back print. Add in the full and detailed torso print and you have another excellent rendition of a classic character.

WM (World of Minifigures) has been pretty consistent with their quality. Here we have their take on Laura Kinney, aka X23. This is based on her movie appearance in the excellent 'Logan' and comes with unique double claw pieces, a movie accurate costume print, and a double sided head featuring a serious face, and a smiling face with pink sunglasses. A really nice fig.

If you're wondering why Wolverine is hanging around in the background, it's because I hadn't received my next figure yet...

Here is POGO's take on old man Logan. Not the movie version but based on his appearance in the original mini series my Mark Millar, the head print on this one is a bit of a disappointment, it just seems off, a shame as the fig is otherwise pretty good, Wolverine's standard hair piece in grey is good to have and we have a printed overcoat that runs across the torso and the legs.

There's also a bit of back print, but it's nothing special. POGO is always hit or miss, and this one unfortunately falls short of his full potential. If you thought you saw a familiar figure in the background, it's our next minifig...

Anyone of a certain age will recognise the iconic GI Joe Villain Cobra Commander. This take on the instantly recognisable bad guy is from KL (reportedly a sister company of POGO) and there was a few GI Joe minifigs produced but they are harder to find now, I don't think they had a long run. He came without any accessories so I've given him a spare blaster.

Regardless who makes him, they did a great job, a perfect representation of his original appearance, special mention to the chromed head piece, which came out really well and wasn't scuffed or tarnished in anyway, this guy will definitely be a regular fixture in the City.

Next up is Dr. Strange, I needed a version of the sorcerer supreme to go with my custom Sanctum Sanctorum (still a WIP) and, of course I went with the kopf version, although he only has a single sided head print, he comes with some top notch accessories, the printed trans orange spell effects are well done, but it's the cape that makes this so great.

Rather than a material cape, this one is moulded plastic, and very well done it is too, the bonus to this, is the cape can stand on it's own and appear to be 'floating'. I think this is great and I'm pretty sure it's not a copy of any LEGO Dr. Strange figure. The Doc also features a great back print on both the torso and legs. Another top notch minifigure from my favourite bootlego manufacturer.
