Hi and welcome to my new blog. I will be using this page to post reviews of LEGO sets as well as 'Other' compatible brands and knock off sets.
On to my first review. I recently picked this up for the measly sum of £4.99 on amazon uk, a third of the cover price! (About £2 less than i paid for the original edition) Though there is no more in stock at the time of this post, I have seen it heavily discounted on most online retailers and even in ye olde brick and mortar stores...
The big draw here is obviously the exclusive Boba Fett minifig. This white armoured version of the Galaxy's most famous bounty hunter is based on the original designs of Ralph McQuarrie. Its a simple and elegant figure. No capes or weapons just the man and his armour. He has printing on his torso and legs and comes with a one sided head. A great addition to any Star Wars LEGO collection, especially at this bargain price.
Here he is shown next to the exclusive Han Solo variant which was included in the previous edition of this book.

Onto the book itself... Now, your enjoyment of the actual contents may vary depending on how invested you are in collecting LEGO Star Wars minifigs and/or sets, though I own a few sets I am not a completionist by any means.
This book will give you a fairly comprehensive breakdown of LEGO's Star Wars output down the years. They are listed in movie chronological order so it should be easy enough to find something specific, It's a great reference book for hardcore collectors.
You get a nice big picture of the described minifig, a sidebar will show you variants and occasionaly give you some trivia. They will also let you know the set number(s) the fig can be found in (Get ready for shocking ebay prices for some of those 'retired' sets though!) Presentation is top notch. This is a nice book protected by a thick stock hardcover.
The page count here is 288 versus 206 pages in the original release, This covers up to the most recent sets based on the 'Rebels' animated show. It's worth mentioning that this is already outdated as we start to see leaked pics based on the EPVII sets, so you can be safe in the knowledge that with so much more Star Wars product to come from LEGO, we can all look forward to yet another update for this handy book... And if it has another awesome exclusive minifig and gets heavily discounted again. I will likely be purchasing it for a third time!
